Hello, my name is Corey Bullock. I’m a project manager with New England Ductless. And what I’d like to talk to you about today is that one of the main advantages of installing a ductless mini split is the ability to zone your house. Traditionally, most people have one or maybe two zones in their house, meaning you turn on the thermostat and the whole house tries to get to that temperature. That is similar to turning on one light bulb and having the entire house come on at the same time. Of course that wouldn’t happen. So what you can do with a ductless mini split system is you are able to control each room individually, which allows you to both make your house as comfortable as possible and to save money by not heating areas or cooling areas that don’t need it because nobody’s in those areas at the moment.
What we’ve found is that many people have seen great reductions on their bills, on their electricity bills because of the fact that they can individualize each room. Plus, it’s going to make it a much more comfortable environment. Imagine going to bed at night making the temperature the temperature you like it, allowing the bottom half of the house to be either hotter or cooler than you typically keep it. And then vice versa, in the morning time you get up, you can allow the upstairs with the unoccupied rooms, those could either be cooler or warmer than you typically keep it. So what that’s going to do for you is allow you to make a much more comfortable home for yourself while also reducing the amount of money that you spend on your electricity bills due to inefficient heating and cooling that you traditionally find with your current heating or cooling system.
